Seido Karate - for adults   with Sensei Robert Henderson

Seido Karate is a traditional Japanese martial art. Founded by Grandmaster Tadashi Nakamura, Seido Karate embodies the principal of purposeful practice by combining the physical practice of the martial arts with the traditional respect for mental focus and spiritual training. Ongoing classes are open to students of all levels.
On-going Evening classes for adults
Date: Tuesday and Thursday sessions.

Thursdays at 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm

Tai Chi - The Art of Balance and Grace   with Linda Scheer

This low-impact, meditative, and graceful form of exercise promotes strength, balance, relaxation, and health of the body and mind. It is a whole-body movement that benefits all ages. Class covers Chi Kung warm-ups, basic principles of Tai Chi movement, the Tai Chi form, and Tai Chi philosophy. Linda has practiced Tai Chi for 19 yrs, has been teaching for 12 years. And has extensive background in yoga, meditation and education; has a current teaching credintial, and a masters in Vocational Rehabilitation.
Date: On-going Thursday sessions May 1 - August 28, 2008.
No class 5/22/08 & 7/3/08.

Beginner 8 Week Series: May start at any time
Time: 5 - 6 PM
Intermediate Levels: Time: 4:30 - 5 PM

Yoga - Mommy (or Daddy) and Me   with Crissy Alesii

Exploring yoga with your child. Through learning basic yoga poses, you and your child will be more aware of your bodies, your breathing and build a new connection with each other. Poses are introduced gradually, with focus on individual alignment, moving toward a sequence of poses that flow from one to the next. Poses and breath are taught using child friendly words. One parent and child (ages 6-12) welcome, please wear comfortable clothing.
Date: 4 week session: Tuesdays, May 6 - May 27, 2008
Time: 5:00 pm - 5:50 pm
Place: Meet in the Lower House
Fee: $110 for one parent and a child for the entire session; $30 for one parent and a child for drop-ins (space permitting)
