Founded by Grandmaster Tadashi Nakamura, Seido Karate embodies the principal of purposeful practice by combining the physical practice of the martial arts with the traditional respect for mental focus and spiritual training. It is a whole-body movement that benefits all ages. Class covers Chi Kung warm-ups, basic principles of Tai Chi movement, the Tai Chi form, and Tai Chi philosophy. Linda has practiced Tai Chi for 19 yrs, has been teaching for 12 years. And has extensive background in yoga, meditation and education; has a current teaching credintial, and a masters in Vocational Rehabilitation.Date: On-going Thursday sessions May 1 - August 28, 2008. Through learning basic yoga poses, you and your child will be more aware of your bodies, your breathing and build a new connection with each other. Poses are introduced gradually, with focus on individual alignment, moving toward a sequence of poses that flow from one to the next. Poses and breath are taught using child friendly words.
