Numerous possibilities exist to participate in sponsoring, and receiving corporate donor recognition for the enriching programs in the arts, music, historic events, and performances Hakone hosts. Because Hakone is in the phase of developing a Master Plan for the entire 18-acre site, we have been in discussions with a number of leading corporate philanthropists concerning a variety of donor recognition opportunities.   As an IRS tax-exempt 501 ( c ) ( 3 ) foundation, your company can receive a tax donation for auction items for our annual festival or a special fundraising event at Hakone. For example, if you are professional with a few hours to donate for auction your professional skills and expertise, whether it be to donate 4 hours of your time if you are an attorney, CPA, health professional, etc. or have a corporate condo, in Tahoe, Sun Valley, or Aspen; there are an unlimited number of creative opportunities for your company to participate in this historic international cultural effort.   During this lean economic time, many companies may not have the flexibility to contribute cash, but have expertise and goods that are valued items during fundraising events.
