Docent Guide
Many volunteers assist as docents all year round, providing tours of the gardens for school groups, garden clubs, corporate groups, and many other individual groups. Our current docents include Arnie Cornez, June Kanazawa, Margaret Tomita, Noriko Ashihara, and Joanne Yamani. Hakone's success depends a lot on such dedicated volunteers who give many hours of dedication.
Other kinds of help we need

Helping answer the phones and direct calls during the busy times on weekends and holidays

Helping at the entrance by welcoming, answering questions, opening the gate for wheelchairs and strollers, making sure professional photographers sign up at the desk.

Helping the gardening staff (weeding etc)
