Cultural Exchange Center
This museum style conference hall is perfect for all-day meetings of from 10 to 50 guests. It is a replica of a Kyoto style Tea Merchant's shop and home building of Edo Period that was custom-built in Japan, shipped, and raised at its present location in 1991. You will be marveled at its state of the art craftsmanship which did not use a single nail in the building. The facility comes with two rest rooms and a small kitchen. Its spacious decks offer a panoramic view of natural harmony at its best - acres of formal Japanese gardens, towering redwood trees and lush coastal mountains. Here, even a coffee break is a refreshingly inspirational experience.
Lower House (a.k.a. Zen Garden House)
The Lower House was built in 1922. It combines Japanese traditional elements with characteristics of the early California bungalow. The Lower House is ideal for group of from 10-40, with an enclosed hallway, two rest rooms, and a small kitchen.
In a complex, demanding and hectic world, Hakone is a refuge for serious thought. Nearby accommodations are available for participants who require overnight lodging, and San Jose Airport is conveniently located for out-of-town participants.
